Holiday Season
Countdown Calendar
For Widows

Hustle to Harmony:

Widows Can Find Peace during the Holidays

Remember, we are not sprinting to the finish; this is intended to pace you. Think of this as your holiday season marathon. Are you ready to move to the starting line?

Are you getting ready to celebrate your first holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas or Hanukkah and New Year’s) or your tenth holiday season without your loved one? You may have read the word celebrate and thought, “How am I supposed to celebrate? The person that was the other half of me is no longer here.” Then this playbook is for you. It is a step-by-step countdown calendar that will allow you to be prepared for all of the tactical, emotional and external needs that will be coming your way.

Follow along from November 1 - December 31, 2023, and I will guide you step by step on how to pace yourself so you arrive on December 31 feeling like you had some harmony this holiday season. Don’t worry if you are jumping in after November 1—you don’t need to “catch up.”

Each week I make it easy for you to focus on one task related to the tactical, emotional and external demands that are going to be a part of your holidays:  3 suggestions each week for the 10 weeks leading up to the New Year. You will also receive weekly emails every Sunday from me to encourage and support you along the way. You will want to read these messages since they dig deeper into what is being introduced to you that week.

I’m Jody LaVoie, widow coach and founder of Widows in the Workplace, and I help widows move from Grief to Greatness through one-on-one coaching, advising and support. I am a fellow widow, mom and ex-corporate executive who found a way to juggle it all and rediscover my greatness again after the death of my husband Steve.
