Love for Jody

Overcome life and career obstacles...

I had the pleasure of seeing Jody LaVoie speak at a Professional Women’s Club of Chicago (PWCC) luncheon. She was magnificent!

Her words and hands-on activities resonated with the 85+ women in the audience. We were all on the edges of our seats listening to Jody tell the story of her husband’s untimely death and then how she led her children and transformed their family company through the hardest time of her life.

Her real-life experience is especially helpful for widows and widowers but is very much applicable to anyone having to overcome life and career obstacles. I left the presentation ready to put into action her suggestions about how to increase my confidence going into meetings and presentations.

I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about going to see Jody speak or anyone considering working with Jody to seize the opportunity to experience the courage and wisdom that this powerful woman exudes.

Jody was great. I really liked how she tailored her presentation to the needs of the group. She was engaging when she spoke, which made the time fun and interactive for our audience. She took the time to answer questions and was relatable in her answers.

Overall, I feel our group left with a better grasp of how to build confidence in their own daily work routine and be more comfortable when presenting. I will be recommending Jody to others!

The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business committee received the recommendation to have Jody speak at their Fall Luncheon.  From the very first conversation Jody was responsive to the focus of the event and understood that our audience was multigenerational.  It was important to us that her presentation speak to a diverse audience.   She hit it out of the park!  Not only is Jody an engaging speaker but you leave with practical tools to help you succeed!

We collaborated with Jody to create a virtual program for our CAP STRAT Women's Forum community, Processing Loss, Managing Your Mindset & Moving Forward.

What was so powerful about Jody's presentation, is that she was able to connect with the audience and expand her message beyond the loss of a loved one, to include loss and grief as a result of divorce, becoming an empty nester, or voluntary or involuntary loss of a job among other life experiences.

Her program applied to and helped everyone present and shared many types of tools and strategies to tackle a current loss, a loss in the future, and/or to support someone going through a loss. And what is especially inspiring is to feel the authentic joy Jody has as she lives life today - giving us hope and confidence that it is possible to get to the other side and live a fulfilled and happy life!

Our firm had the opportunity to host Jody for a presentation of “How to Live What Matters” to an audience of our clients and staff. Her warm and engaging presentation style encouraged questions and participation from our group, and the content of the presentation was thought-provoking and timely. Our guests received essential information about Ethical Wills to assist them as they plan for the future and craft the legacies they wish to leave behind for subsequent generations. She also considerately provided an extensive reading list and other helpful resources that our group appreciated.

In addition to the valuable content of her presentation, Jody’s professionalism really shines through and made coordinating the event with her a seamless and enjoyable process. If you have the chance, we absolutely recommend booking Jody for your next event.
